Global Recycling Day 2023

March 18 is Global Recycling Day. It is an initiative aimed at educating and promoting good practices in the field of reuse and recovery of waste.

It is estimated that in 1970 we exceeded the regenerative capacity of the environment, and we use more resources than what can be regenerated – so we live on ecological credit [WWF 2016]. This is why it is so important to conserve natural resources and manage waste skilfully in a closed loop.
Recycling Day, celebrated worldwide on March 18, is celebrated at Ecoport every day. Thousands of tonnes of raw materials are given a second life each year at our e-waste treatment plant.
